Situated beneath Route 76 bridge, the structure operates as a porous architecture where human, animal, and vegetal life intersect, offering spaces for shelter, rest, and exploration. Partially covered with fabric bags filled with soil and seeds, the structure is designed to evolve over time. As plants begin to grow, they gradually envelop the surface, forming a living skin shaped by environmental conditions. Rather than controlling this process, the work allows the species best adapted to this site to emerge and prevail. The upper layer functions as a bird feeder and nesting material source, while also supporting climbing plants that extend across the structure. Below, cavities provide refuge for animals, and tensile surfaces invite human inhabitation. Placed within a landscape fragmented by infrastructure, the work introduces a small sanctuary where disrupted ecological relationships can begin to reconnect. It creates a space for observation and reflection, where human and non-human life meet, adapt, and coexist within a shared, evolving environment.
