在台七六的橋下，那些被快速通過、鮮少停留的場域，其實承載著另一種生命節奏。本作品以「歇一下」為核心。「歇睏」在台語中不只是休息，更是在勞動縫隙中，對身體與心靈的暫時安放。該語感「歇一下」源於工地日常，連結著人與土地長期累積的生活經驗。作品發想自參與公共建設的勞動者，他們為生計往返城市、棲身工地，「家」對其而言並非固定空間，而是隨身體移動、不斷重構的動態。

裝置以 回收傢俱，並覆上藍白帆布。這些帆布是工地最真實的視覺語彙，用於遮蔽與界定邊界，讓原本不具居住機能的廢棄地，轉化為可停留的所在。藍白帆布如同一層臨時外殼，包裹著尚未完工卻已運行的「家」。家具被安置於未經修飾的草地，靜靜嵌入現地環境。《歇一下》並非再現家的樣貌，而是提出一種質問：當人處於流動與勞動中，能否為自己創造片刻的停留？在此，家的形式或許不穩固，但對生活的維持與遠方的牽掛依然真實。這裡不是終點，而是一個能暫時歇睏的棲所。

Beneath the Route 76 overpass—a site swiftly passed and rarely lingered in—lies a space anchor to a different rhythm of life. Centered on "歇一下" (taking a moment’s rest), this work draws from Taiwanese vernacular ("歇睏"), where rest is a temporary sanctuary for body and mind carved within the seams of labor. Inspired by infrastructure workers sheltering on site, "home" becomes not a fixed space, but a dynamic entity continuously reconstructed through movement.

The theme of the equipment is second-hand furniture, all draped in blue-and-white tarpaulins. As the defining visual vocabulary of construction sites used for shelter and boundaries, these tarpaulins transform an abandoned plot into a place to pause.

Enveloping an unfinished yet operational "home," the tarpaulin acts as a temporary shell. Embedded directly in the raw grass, A Brief Pause asks: amidst constant mobility and labor, can one create a fleeting moment of respite? Though its physical form is precarious, the effort to sustain life and the yearning for distant loved ones remain real. This is not a destination, but a sanctuary for temporary rest.
